Two Thunderbolts Selected for Western Zone Select Camp
02/02:  Thunderbolts Charlene Yuan and Prudence Rooker have been selected by USA Swimming to attend the 2010 Western Zone Select Camp, May 27-30 at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ. USA Swimming has selected 56 athletes for this camp based on their performances this past summer in either an IMX score or an individual event.  Congratulations Charlene and Prudence!

Thunderbolt Dual Meet Championships
01/20:  The Thunderbolts are excited to present the results of the 2010 Thunderbolt Round Robin Dual Meet.  This meet featured 10 teams swimming head-to-head in a dual meet, prelim-final format.   Results can be found here.

The Dual Meet Championships started off with deafening cheers for the medley relays and that helped produce the fastest 11-12 boys 400MR in Oregon. The Thunderbolt relay team of Alex LaRosa, Cortlandt Nelsen, Paolo Casas, & David Spurgeon broke the 400 Medley Relay State Record with a time of 4:13.75. The previous record of 4:13.80 was held by the Bend Swim Club set in 2008 by Connor Brenda, Aidan Soles, Joseph Murphy & Brandon Deckard.
 
These young men also broke our old club record of 4:15.54 previously held by A. Viglione, G. Roberson, J. Lou, and M. Blasa, set in 2002.  Congratulations to all!

Congratulations to our All-Star Meet Representatives

01/20:  Congratulations to Emily Cheng, Alex LaRosa, David Sprugeon and Prudence Rooker; all represented Oregon Swimming (OSI) last weekend at the Pacific Coast All-star Meet in Southern California.  Prudence was named OSI Swimmer of the Meet!  Congratulations also to Coach Paige Lee who made the trip as a member of the 2009-2010 OSI All-star staff.
