Internationales Schwimmfest 2010

Germany Results…

We had a good time in Heidelberg training at the Olympia Stutspunkt (Olympic Training Center) where we swam, did dryland and played basketball and “ball” hockey with the center athletes.

The Internationales Schwimmfest began Friday afternoon and features competitors from Denmark, Egypt, France, Iceland, Germany, Great Britain, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Serbia, Switzerland, Turkey and, of course the USA.

Conditions at the meet are challenging, the temperature is well over 100 degrees, shade is a hard to find and there is very little time between prelims and finals; however THUNDERBOLTS have managed some good results.

Prudence got scratched into finals for both the 200FR and the 200BR; her focus in finals was on the 50/200BR.

400 Med Relay…Prudence 1:14.5 (BR) and Michelle 1:00.8 (FR) both had significantly faster splits than they did individually.

As a team we came in 3^rd place overall; not too shabby for only 9 athletes.
